Help Bella Overcome Medical Challenges

Hi and welcome! My name is Lauren Bauer. Our daughter Audrey attends Goddard school and was lucky enough to have Bella as her teacher. We are raising money for Bella and here's why (in her words):

"My name is Bella, I'm 21 and have been recently diagnosed with EDS (Ehlors Danlos Syndrome), a connective tissue disorder that has been negatively impacting most of my life but has gotten severe recently. Ever since I was in preschool, I have wanted to become a teacher, a safe adult in every child's life who they know loves them and takes care of them. I have been teaching for a year and a half and have never enjoyed any other profession as much as working with children and supporting their growth and showing them unconditional love, it has been incredibly healing for me as I had a very rough upbringing where the only safe people in my life were some of my teachers at school. It is absolutely soul crushing that I have to resign due to something beyond my control. Unfortunately, I can no longer work full time due to my severe chronic pain, consistent herniated discs, as well as persistent heart issues. I have been in and out of the ER consistently for the past 2+ years and have been slowly paying off thousands of dollars worth of medical bills from my pulmonary embolism, and other medical issues. Working part time I won't be making more than $1300 a month, and between my rent being $1100, general cost of living, medical expenses, and my lease ending in 2 months, I have no way to financially support myself, save enough to move and qualify for a few place to live. Unfortunately, moving back home is not an option for me as I was kicked out right after my graduation and my family doesn't have the financial wiggle room to help support me. I am an artist and have been trying to save up for months for an Ipad and Apple Pencil or some sort of way to create digital art in hopes I can create even more art and find a way to make an income from something that isn't damaging my body further but can still make an impact on people."
