Bella has dreamed of studying marine life for as long as we can remember, and now at just 16 years old, she has earned an incredible opportunity to turn that passion into reality.
Bella was selected on scholarship for the Broadreach Foundation Caribbean Marine Biology Voyage taking place June 14–30, 2026. This hands on expedition will allow her to study coral reef ecosystems, participate in real marine science research, and earn her scuba certification so she can explore and study marine life firsthand.
Bella has been working toward opportunities like this for years. She is an AP Capstone student at Seckinger High School with a 4.1 GPA, active in Environmental Club, and has already completed SeaCamp in the Florida Keys, attended UGA’s Marine Science Academy on scholarship, and interned at the Georgia Aquarium. Her goal is to study marine science and pursue a career in ocean conservation and environmental law. This program is a direct step in that path.
While her scholarship covers part of the program, we are raising funds to help cover the remaining balance, travel expenses, and scuba certification costs. Deadlines for deposits, training, and travel are approaching quickly, and every contribution helps bring her one step closer to this life changing experience.
If you know Bella, you know how hard she works and how deeply passionate she is about protecting marine life and the environment. We are incredibly proud of her and grateful for any support, whether through donations or simply sharing her story.
Thank you for being part of Bella’s journey.
