my name is Valentina, and I’m fundraising for my sweet dog Bella. We adopted Bella from the shelter when she was just 2 months old. At the time, she was scheduled to be put to sleep because she was born with severe back-leg issues and vision impairment. We couldn’t let that happen — we rescued her and promised her a life full of love, safety, and care. We always knew Bella would grow into her medical challenges, and that one day we might have to face them head-on. But unfortunately, everything hit at once. Bella’s left eye suddenly began to worsen. It started bulging, her vision completely deteriorated, and she’s now fully blind in that eye. At the same time, her back legs have gotten weaker. She struggles to walk long distances, can no longer safely go down stairs, and she can’t jump on or off the couch or bed like she used to. Watching her lose her independence has been heartbreaking. For weeks, we’ve been going from vet to vet, trying our best to stay on top of her care. But her condition has reached a point where the next step is urgent eye-removal surgery. This surgery will relieve the pressure and pain she’s constantly feeling and will help extend and improve her quality of life. As much as I’ve tried to keep up with the medical bills, I’ve hit a point where I simply can’t afford the costs on my own. Bella means the world to our family. She’s the glue that keeps us together — loyal, gentle, and the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet. Anyone who has crossed paths with her knows she lights up every room with her spirit. I’m asking for help, big or small, to give Bella a chance at a comfortable and pain-free life. Every donation, every share, every kind word means more than you know.  Hola a todos, mi nombre es Valentina, y estoy recaudando fondos para mi perrita Bella. Adoptamos a Bella del refugio cuando tenía solo 2 meses. En ese momento, iban a dormirla porque nació con problemas severos en sus patitas traseras y con una discapacidad visual. No podíamos permitir que eso pasara, la rescatamos y le prometimos una vida llena de amor, seguridad y cuidados. Siempre supimos que Bella crecería con sus desafíos médicos y que algún día tendríamos que enfrentarlos más de cerca. Pero, lamentablemente, todo llegó de golpe. El ojito izquierdo de Bella comenzó a empeorar repentinamente. Empezó a sobresalir, perdió completamente su visión y ahora está totalmente ciega de ese ojo. Al mismo tiempo, sus patitas traseras se han debilitado mucho. Le cuesta caminar largas distancias, ya no puede bajar escaleras de manera segura y no puede subir o bajar de la cama o el sofá como antes. Verla perder su independencia ha sido muy doloroso. Durante semanas hemos estado yendo de veterinario en veterinario, tratando de mantenernos al día con su cuidado. Pero su condición ha llegado a un punto en el que el siguiente paso es una cirugía urgente para remover el ojo. Esta cirugía aliviará la presión y el dolor constante que siente y ayudará a extender y mejorar su calidad de vida. Por más que he intentado cubrir los gastos médicos, he llegado a un punto en el que simplemente ya no puedo costear todo por mi cuenta. Bella significa el mundo para nuestra familia.
