Bella is my sweet companion and emotional support dog. I adopted her after losing my little boy, who tragically passed away before his second birthday. Bella came into my life when I needed her most, and she has been a source of comfort and love ever since. From the start, she faced her own set of challenges—arriving with a bad case of giardia, an ear infection, and eye issues. After visits to two different vets and an eye specialist, it was confirmed that Bella has a congenital eye disease that prevents her right eye from producing tears. This means I have to give her medication drops and creams several times a day to keep her comfortable. Despite her rough start, Bella is a sweet, gentle soul who loves people and other animals, including cats. She just turned six months old, and I want nothing more than to see her thrive. Two days ago, because of her eye condition, Bella misjudged a jump and landed on my coffee table, resulting in two fractures on her left paw. I am currently sitting at the specialty hospital with her trembling in my arms, her tiny paw in a cast. She needs an operation right away to repair the fractures and give her the best chance at a full recovery. The funds raised will go entirely toward Bella's surgery, pain medication, and any necessary follow-up care.
