Hi, my name is Bella, and I am a film student and storyteller at SFCC. I am currently creating my capstone short film, The Marigold Tree, and I am profoundly excited to share this story with the world. This will be my first short film, and it means so much to me as a culmination of everything I have learned about storytelling and filmmaking.

The Marigold Tree is an intimate, character-driven drama centered on Rose, Bud, and Lily, three siblings bound by a single painting that holds more meaning than they expect. At its heart, this story explores memory, family, and the complex ways trauma impacts our lives. I am drawn to stories about connection, memory, and the emotional lives of ordinary people, and The Marigold Tree reflects that passion. Film is magic, but it's also expensive.
