Help Bella and I get back home.

Hello family, friends, and random folks who found their way to this GoFundMe link.

Going on 12 months ago, Timbre Games closed their doors. And with that, my job here was gone. As most of my family and friends know, back in Feb 23' I packed up and moved to Canada. Pursuing my dream job as a 3D Character Rigger for a gaming studio. But in June of 24', everything fell apart. I just signed a 12 month lease to an new apartment, and 2 weeks later, I lost my job.

What was worse, was that I am on a "Closed Work Visa." Meaning, I am only able to take jobs that are assigned to my Visa. Which in this case is "Character Rigging." And that also means that I can not work ANYWHERE ELSE. I can not work at Walmart, McDonalds, or even Lyft. Not being able to work has really been a struggle these 12 months.

Many, many friends and fellow co-workers have worked hard in helping me get interviews... but the industry continued with more layoffs, closing down studios, and overall chaos. I have applied to 2 to 4 jobs every single week since I lost my job. Needless to say, as I write this request for help because I haven't landed a job... and I am starting the 12th and final month of my lease here in Canada. I have exhausted every single option I can here, and I need help going back home to Cumberland, Maryland.

These past 12 months, I have been fortunate to live off of Ei and with selling everything I own. From bikes, cooking ware, monitors, books, plates, desk, cameras to Transformer Collectables (almost 20+ years),... everything. Only thing left is a portable kitchen sink for camping ;-)

If it wasn't for the help of my family & friends back home... I would not have been able to pay rent a few times. Playing financial chess has been extremely exhausting mentally. Which bill can I pay this month and which one can I default on for next month. More so being isolated with not even a handful of interactions have been extremely heart breaking to me. If it wasn't for my wonderful dog Bella, it would have been extremely lonely here.

Fortunately, made it to the final month. Unfortunately, I still have not been able to land a job. So I desperately need your all's help. I need to raise enough gas & food money to get Bella and I home from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to Cumberland, Maryland, USA. We will be traveling in my little 2005 Chevy Blazer ZR2. Hitting as many free campsites and rest stops as we can along the way home. But this is where I need your all's help. I just won't have enough to get home. Especially once I cross the border and transfer all that I have left from CAD to USD.

I couldn't fly home, due to Bella having major seperation anxiety. She would disturb everyone on the flight with her constant barking. And I do not want to put Bella through that. So driving home is our only option. I have been working hard these past 4 months preparing the truck to get us home from one coast to the next. Bright side about selling everything you own... you don't have much to pack. LOL!
