Hi everyone! My name is Annette, and I am raising money for my (best friends) mom, Belinda York. I’ve known Belinda since I was born, she is like a second mom to me. She has been very sick, unable to eat, go to the bathroom and lost a ton of weight. She was down to 85 pounds. She was admitted to the hospital on September 13th, where they learned she had a bowel obstruction and almost all of her intestines were dead. She was very weak, and having a hard time breathing so she was put on a ventilator. She has undergone 2 surgeries in the last week to remove the dead parts of her bowel, and was finally taken off the ventilator yesterday, but is still in ICU. Belindas daughter Kim has been at the hospital around the clock with her mom, and we have been in touch multiple times each day.

Belinda still works, but will be out of work for atleast 2-4 months (per the doctor), and will have a ton of medical bills. We don’t know how long she will be staying in the hospital, so there is definitely a financial stress on Belinda. The purpose of this GoFundMe is to alleviate that stress for Belinda. She needs to focus on healing and regaining her strength, not worrying about missing work and how she will pay her bills.
