Help Bel Canto Sing at Carnegie Hall

An exciting and unique opportunity for the Bel Canto choral ensemble at West Haven High School. This talented group of young singers has been selected to perform at one of the most prestigious venues in the world—Carnegie Hall in New York City—during March of 2025. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will provide our students not only with the chance to showcase their talent but also with an unforgettable educational opportunity that will inspire them for years to come.

To make this dream a reality, we are aiming to raise $20,000 by February 5, 2025 to cover the cost of transportation to and from New York City, a 3-night stay in a Midtown Manhattan hotel, group tickets to a Broadway show, and participation in a Festival Chorus performance with Yale University’s Camerata Director and Adjunct Professor, Dr. Felicia Barber.

West Haven High School serves a diverse student body, many of whom overcome the odds stacked against them and excel each day that they are in school. Despite these challenges, the students of Bel Canto have shown extraordinary talent and dedication to develop their musicianship and I am extremely proud of their artistic growth and musical accomplishments. With your generous support, we can give these students an experience that will not only enhance their educational journey as young musicians but also open doors to future opportunities in the arts and beyond.
