Help Bekah's Family During This Critical Time

My name is Heather Stober and I am a 14 year friend with Bekah! We have known each other through many life events - both happy and challenging. Presently, my dear friend Bekah is going through one of the biggest challenges of her life. She is the proud mama to 14 month old Nora and is expecting a lovely daughter, Tilley, in the next few months. In a scary turn of events, Bekah has been diagnosed with Percreta Pregnancy.
A quick google search will tell you that Placenta percreta is a pregnancy complication that occurs when the placenta grows through the uterine wall and may invade nearby organs, such as the bladder or intestines. It's the most severe form of placenta accreta, a condition where the placenta abnormally attaches to the uterine wall. Placenta percreta is a potentially life-threatening condition that can cause severe hemorrhage. It's often discovered during delivery, but can also be diagnosed before birth with ultrasound, MRI, or cystoscopy. Placenta percreta is a rare disorder that occurs in about 5% of all placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) cases…
She began with accreta at 19.5 weeks diagnosed and they knew it was pretty advanced already for the gestation period. She is 24 weeks now and as her pregnancy grows/progresses, the more serious and invasive it becomes. Baby Tilley is growing well and the hope is to keep her that way for as long as possible without injury to baby or mom.
Bekah's amazing husband Ken is continuing to work and perform single dad operations while Bekah will remain in UNC hospital. He will also have to perform the huge feat of moving their entire home in about 2 weeks. As many know Bekah is self employed so while she isn't working there is no income to support their amazing family. I am asking that you donate a few dollars to help this WONDERFUL growing family in a challenging time. As we all know and have probably experienced, life can throw us curve balls and this is a huge one. Thank you for listening and being willing to open your heart.
