Who is Bee?
Bee is our four-year-old Husky/Collie mix — the sweetest, silliest, most loving dog you’ll ever meet. She’s been part of our family since we adopted her as a stray puppy in North Carolina. Since then, she's lived an incredible life full of adventures: running wild through Scotland, charming strangers in London parks, and making toddlers giggle who call her “Mommy Doggo.”
Bee is the heart of our home: our hiking partner, couch cuddler, comic relief, and constant source of unconditional love.
Why We're Asking for Help
Just after her fourth birthday, Bee was diagnosed with lymphoma: a devastating cancer for dogs. Without treatment, she may only have a few months left.
There is one path that offers real hope: a specialized bone marrow transplant at the CTAC Institute in Tennessee. This groundbreaking treatment was developed at NC State — not far from where Bee was born — and offers her the chance at a full cure and a normal lifespan.
Why We Need Your Support
While we're trying our best to cover as much of Bee's treatment as possible, it still comes to an enormous cost of ~$100,000, from things like:
- chemotherapy drugs
- half-body radiation therapies (HBI)
- transportation
- diagnostic tests
- (CTAC) Pre-transplant evaluation
- (CTAC) Bone marrow transplant procedure
- (CTAC) Hospitalization and follow-up care
- (CTAC) Travel and temporary relocation to the U.S.
Every dollar raised will go directly to Bee’s medical care. We’ve been saving and preparing as best we can, but this isn’t something we can manage alone.
What Your Gift Means
Every donation — no matter how small — gives Bee the chance to live the second half of her life, healthy and happy, with the people who love her.
We adopted Bee with the hope that she’d grow old with us, maybe even meet our children one day. She’s still so young. And thanks to medical advances, she has a real shot — but only if we can get her there in time.
Please Share
If you can’t donate, please consider sharing Bee’s story. Every share helps us reach someone who might be able to give, and spreads hope a little further.
Finally, Something exciting is coming: every person who donates will be entered into a special game we're making to celebrate Bee's life and further get the word out about her situation. Stay tuned!
