Hi, I’m Patty Lacrete, a first-generation Haitian American, entrepreneur, and aspiring greenhouse manager based in East Point, Georgia. I founded Bed Head Plant Nursery to advance food equity in my community by offering access to fresh, organically grown medicinal herbs and produce.

When I first moved to Atlanta in the mid-90s, I learned that the fresh produce and culinary herbs were expensive and difficult to access locally. This problem persists even today with 25% of Atlanta residents still struggling to access fresh food. There is a clear need for medicinal herbs and native plants in Atlanta, and I want to meet this need head-on!
When Bed Head Plant Nursery launches later this year, it will be the first black, female-owned medicinal herb farm in Southwest Atlanta. Donations will go towards fully converting my quarter-acre site into a sustainably designed microfarm and community space.

I dream of revitalizing the local foodscape, creating agricultural employment, and educating the next generation of horticulturalists. Please help us raise $35,000.00 to make this dream a reality!
