On the Fourth of July in Astoria, our friend Becky was struck by a truck while walking through a crosswalk on 15th Street during the festivities. She suffered serious injuries and is now facing a long recovery. As you can imagine, everything has been turned upside down for her and her family. On top of recovering from her injuries, Becky is now dealing with mounting medical bills and all of the everyday expenses that don't stop just because life does. Her husband, Jason, has been by her side throughout her hospitalization, leaving the family with the added financial strain of lost income while he focuses on caring for Becky. Together, they are also raising their two daughters—one who just graduated high school and another who is still school-aged. To make things even harder, the family recently lost their vehicle after a collision with a deer, leaving them without reliable transportation.
Right now, Becky needs time to heal without the added stress of wondering how the bills are going to get paid. If you're able to help, any donation—big or small—will go directly toward helping Becky, Jason, and their girls get through the months ahead. And if donating isn't possible, sharing this fundraiser is just as appreciated. Thank you for supporting Becky and her family during this challenging time. Every donation, share, and kind thought means more than you know.
