Funeral Expenses for Becky Schlosser

Edit: My sister Becky died at 10:45 am, December 7, 2023. It was a Thursday. I was with her. Please help us with her funeral expenses. She fought so hard, but that cancer was cruel and vicious.

Hi, my name is Karen and my little sister Becky Schlosser was diagnosed with mouth cancer last week. She is in a great deal of pain, in her left ear and up her head and into her throat, yet is trying to stay positive in the face of a grim diagnosis. She does not have insurance and her job does not provide any type of benefits. She is facing surgery next week that will remove half of her tongue, both lymph nodes from her neck, and she will have a tracheostomy in her throat. She will awaken in intensive care at Ruby Memorial and is expective to have at least a 10 day stay in the hospital. This is an especially cruel surgery. They will take skin from her arm and upper leg to reconstruct part of her tongue but it is unknown if she will be able to speak again. She is having a pet scan done in a few days to see if the cancer has spread throughout her body, most likely to the lungs or brain, worst case scenario.

Many of you know Becky, and if you do you know she has a heart of gold and is an incredible woman, who has been through many hardships and losses, which she has faced with an incredible strength and an outstanding sense of humor. If you know her, you know of her generosity and good will. Now Becky needs your help. Please donate whatever you can spare to help my little sister survive this cancer.
