On Sunday, August 3rd, I took my sweet black kitty, Zotzie, to the ER. For a few days he had been lethargic, less motivated by food, and had stopped cuddling.

He stayed over at the hospital that night and on Monday, Aug 4, Zotzie passed away.

During this time I was also in the process of changing roles at my job, stepping down from my extremely stressful job and working with my boss to figure out a way to work part-time and with less responsibility. This way I could focus on my sound art practice and spend more time with my community and my cats. And unfortunately, in working fewer hours, I would be taking a pay cut.

I had not anticipated Zotzie's ER visit, death, and the accompanying $6000 in medical bills and now find myself without income to pay them.

I'm currently looking for extra work, but I still need financial help. I ask that if you are able and willing, please consider donating what you can.
