Help Becky Fight Cancer - Support the Peters Family

Donation protected
Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters, Many of you have been asking how Becky (Rebecca Denise Peters) is doing, and we are incredibly grateful for your concern. As you can imagine, each day brings new challenges as she continues her chemotherapy journey. She has just completed her 8th session at Squamish Hospital’s Oncology Department on March 12th 2025. After each treatment, she needs to stay close to the hospital before she can return home. She really enjoys the drive home and on the way out, to see the beautiful scenery we live in helps her mind stay clear. We made it home on March 14th, but by the next morning, she developed a fever. Thankfully, it subsided, but we remain on high alert for any signs of complications. On Monday, we traveled for her scheduled port placement surgery to make bloodwork and chemotherapy easier, but her blood tests revealed dangerously low red and white blood cell counts. Based on how she looked and how she felt, I discussed her situation to the nurses at the Squamish Oncology department as I described Becky’s conditions we had decided that I would rush her to the emergency room at Lions Gate Hospital, where she was diagnosed with a blood infection. She is in the hospital having antibiotics and fluids and monitoring daily from the nurses. While she is improving, we still have a long road ahead. Why We Need Your Support Cancer doesn’t just take a toll on the body—it affects every aspect of our lives, including finances. While I am doing my best to work and keep up with bills, the costs are piling up. Between medical expenses, travel for treatments, and daily necessities, we are struggling to stay afloat. We still receive financial assistance from Xa’xtsa through the First Nation Health Authority Patient Travel expenses which we are very grateful for however, it doesn’t cover all expenses. Right now, our truck needs urgent brake repairs. I have the parts, but I don’t have the time, tools, or extra funds to get it fixed in a shop. Without the truck, it’s even harder to get to and from the hospital for treatments. How You Can Help We are reaching out for support—whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing our story. Your generosity will help with: Medical costs & treatment-related expenses Transportation & vehicle repairs Rent & essential bills Alternative therapies to support Becky’s healing Every contribution, no matter how big or small, makes a difference. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this page helps! Final Thoughts Despite everything, Becky is staying strong, and we are doing everything possible to fight this F¥CKING CANC€R. Our biggest wish right now is for her to regain her strength, appetite, and ability to enjoy the things she loves again. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers. We appreciate every single one of you who is standing with us during this time.
