Standing With Becky: Help an SHP Nurse and Her Children Start Over
In the early morning hours of March 12, our coworker Becky Hughes, a dedicated nurse with Southern Health Partners at Ripley County Jail, lost her home in a devastating house fire.
Thankfully, Becky and her three teenage children made it out safely along with most of their pets. Tragically, one of their pets did not survive the fire. While everyone is safe, the family lost nearly all of their belongings, and many items that were salvaged were heavily damaged by smoke and water.
Becky is the type of person who is always there when someone needs help. She consistently goes above and beyond for her coworkers, her patients, and her community. She is truly an asset to the SHP team and someone who never hesitates to step in and support others.
If you know Becky, you know that her family means everything to her. She is the proud mother of two daughters and one son, and right now they are facing the difficult task of rebuilding their lives after losing their home and most of their belongings.
Outside of work, Becky and her daughters love baking cookies and decorating pastries, and their family enjoys camping and spending time outdoors together. These simple joys are a big part of their lives, and right now they are working to regain some sense of normalcy after such a sudden loss.
This fundraiser has been created by coworkers and friends who want to support Becky and her family as they begin to rebuild.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 to help Becky and her children replace clothing, household essentials, and begin recovering from the loss of their home.
Every donation—no matter the size—will go directly toward helping Becky and her family during this incredibly difficult time.
