Hi, my name is Catriona. My dear friend Beckkie has recently received a life-changing diagnosis: aplastic anaemia, a rare and serious condition where the body stops producing enough new blood cells. This means countless hospital visits, treatments, and an uncertain road ahead — all while she tries to care for her young daughter and the nearly 30 rescued animals who depend on her every day.

If you know Beckkie, you know her heart. She has dedicated her life to rescuing animals that others have forgotten — chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, rabbits and more — giving them a second chance, a safe home, and unconditional love. Many of these animals arrived injured, neglected, or unwanted, and Beckkie never turned one away. She has built her small sanctuary with her own hands and heart.

Now, she needs our help.

With her health so fragile and hospital stays becoming more frequent, Beckkie simply can’t do it all. The cost of animal feed, medications, transport, vet visits, and temporary support carers is quickly adding up. On top of that, she’s doing everything she can to provide stability and reassurance for her daughter Poppy during this frightening time.
