Hi everyone,

I’m starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my amazing mom, Becci Roe the founder of The Hangout Hourly Childcare. A little over a year ago, she finally made her dream come true by opening her own hourly childcare center, something she’s been passionate about for as long as I can remember.

If you know my mom, you know she lives for kids. She’s the most hardworking, selfless, and caring person I’ve ever met. She pours her heart into every child she cares for, and it shows. Families love her, kids adore her, and honestly, she’s one of those rare people who was just meant to do this work.

Since opening her business, she’s been working 7 days a week, sometimes from 6 a.m. to 10 or even 12 at night just to keep the daycare going and support our family. On top of that, she also works a second job as a nanny. She never complains. She never gives up. She just keeps going because she loves what she does.

But yesterday, everything changed.

She fell down the stairs and broke her ankle, and possibly her other ankle and knee as well (we’re still waiting on orthopedic results). Right now, she’s in a lot of pain and completely unable to walk. Even through this, her biggest concern isn’t herself, it’s the daycare, the kids, and how she’s going to keep it all running.

She’s stubborn and would never ask for help, but I will.

We’re not sure what the future holds, but I just want to do something kind for her in this difficult moment. Whether it’s keeping the business afloat while she recovers, or simply taking some stress off her shoulders, every little bit helps.
