Help Becca's Family Recover from Hurricane Ian

Hi, my name is Erica and I'm fundraising to help my little sister Becca recover from the devastation Hurricane Ian wrought on her home in Port Charlotte, FL on September 28, 2022.

First off, I want to share that, thankfully, Becca and her girls, London & Willow, and their pets are safe. They evacuated and are staying with our dad in Venice. Unfortunately, it looks like they may have lost just about everything when Hurricane Ian tore off their home's roof and dumped tons of water into the house.

Our family is heartbroken that Becca is facing this situation; very few of us can imagine seeing their home in shambles and losing everything.

If you know Becca, she has pulled herself and her family through many struggles over the years; she has been resilient in the face of impossible odds. And she will do anything for her girls. But this is one situation where they'll need help from friends and family to recover.

This fundraiser is not for one specific expense, but a general fund to help Becca replace lost belongings and cover relocation expenses, potentially out of state. She's not sure yet what to do. Their house was a rental and unfortunately the owner did not have property insurance, so they will not be able to file a claim for their losses. They'll be starting over from scratch. I will personally manage the disbursement of donations to Becca.

Our sister Sandra, brother Nick, and I are trying to mobilize to help Becca's family start over. If you are able to help even a little bit, we will all be forever grateful. As a tiny gesture of our appreciation, Nick (who, you know, is an amazing artist) has offered to send a sticker of his new Florida illustration to each donor to this GoFundMe.
