Grant and Bec are high school sweethearts with two now grownup sons and a teenage daughter with a severe intellectual disability. They have been there for each other through thick and thin, they faced the uncertainty of raising a child with a disability and came through it stronger. They have held their little family together despite the challenges, still making time to help other people in their lives. Now they face a new journey towards an unutterable and unthinkable destination. Grant has been unwell since November and has drastically lost weight. Doctors kept putting him on antibiotics and other medications but nothing helped. His health deteriorated more so he was admitted to Ipswich hospital on the 10th of February by the end of the week Grant was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer. Now two incomes have become one and four hands to care for their daughter have become two. They aren’t the people to ask for handouts but this is a horribly sad situation and Bec needs to plan for a future without her soulmate. Please donate to help them pay for loss of income, and will go towards ever mounting bills, as they continue to support one another. Every little bit counts.
