Help Beauty Recover from Emergency Surgery

Tax deductible

I'm Debbie, director of Kittynap Rescue, a 501c3 not-for-profit, and I've been doing cat and kitten rescue for over 15 years.

This fundraiser is to help pay for Beauty's emergency surgery to remove a foreign object from her intestine.

I trapped Beauty for TNVR from a local backyard. During her recovery, we realized she was a very sweet kitty and would be a candidate for adoption through Kittynap and not have to return to life on the dangerous streets!

Kittynap finished up her initial medical, FVRCP vaccines, and a snap/combo test which was negative.

We posted her on Adopt a Pet and Facebook for adoption. Unfortunately, we didn't receive many adoption applications for her, but she was happy and comfy in my home with my kitties, a few who were also waiting for adoption.

About a month ago, she began vomiting and refused to eat. I took her to my vet, and she was given fluids, a B12 shot, an appetite stimulant, and a Cerenia shot. The vomiting subsided, but she still wouldn't eat and just hid in her little tent bed. The following week, I took her back to the vet, and she was given a shot of Convenia (an antibiotic) along with the same treatments from the previous week. The vet also took blood and ran a multitude of tests. Bloodwork came back crazy, and her vet made an appointment for an ultrasound.

The ultrasound showed the foreign object lodged in her intestine! Poor baby must have been in so much pain!!

Off to the ER hospital for more tests, X-rays, and surgery...

Her surgery went fairly well, but her intestine was very inflamed, and sutures were tricky to hold. The vet sent a piece of tissue to the lab for a biopsy, thinking she could have possible lymphoma. We are still waiting for those results.

I've included a pic of the object that was removed, but I have no clue what it could be. As you can imagine, Beauty's medical bills are very high for a small rescue. I was able to get Care Credit for her hospital/surgery bill, but the interest will be 29.9%!!

Please consider a donation of any amount to help pay her medical bills. Beauty and I thank you in advance for your help and prayers!
