Help Beau recover his flood destroyed business
Donation protected
Hi everyone, I’m helping my friend Beau, who just lost his business and livelihood in the Brisbane 2022 floods.
Two years ago, Beau asked me to help him inspect a building for his very first photography studio.
It was perfect for his new business- he signed a lease and over time all his friends watched proudly, as he built himself from his former occupation as a hardworking trainer into the highly skilled videographer and photographer we know him as now.
We all watched Beau overcome his new to business struggles while we supported him like we do all our acquaintances, family and friends.
I often say Beau is like my brother, but I’m not the only one who thinks highly of him.. with many, many acquaintances and friends having experienced the goodness and joy he brings into our lives.
On Sunday morning, 27th February, his studio had water lapping at the driveway.
By Monday morning, he was trapped inside the complex alone with no electricity, phone or access to the outside world.
Alone in his studio he carried everything he could up to the top floor, not knowing the level the water would stop at.
When the flood waters receded at low tide on Monday afternoon I and some of his other friends were able to access him and help clean and move the remaining flood destroyed property outside.
We were too late to save a majority of his belongings.
I’ve done a very conservative amount that I know will help Beau in the aftermath of these floods- with replacing equipment valued less than his insurance policy will replace, with lost wages and editing time, to find transport with his car having been submerged under water parked outside and to help fund the large clean up job needed on his studio.
There’s a lot to be done, and this is just one business of many.
PLEASE it personally, if Beau has ever made you laugh, smile or you’d like to help but aren’t sure how.. please donate 10, 20 or $50 or share this fundraiser with someone else who knows Beau.
Thank you for helping our friend, and thank you just for reading this and caring.
