Hello everyone, I'm here to talk about my Beau. Father of four who has endured traumas throughout life that have made him the cornerstone of community. Throughout his life, he's shouldered, addressed, and buried more pain than most would know and silently soldiered on without want or expectation in fear of unjustly burdening anyone else. His infectious smile, unique, confident walk and explosive expression of trustee make an instant impression if you've ever been around him. You would reluctantly leave and look forward to seeing him again all at once.
Beau is a modern moment of a time our grandparents live And long for. A man that would work tireless, only to come home sweaty, exhausted, and ready to call it a night but still have enough in him to take the kids to football practice. He is one in 8 billion, and the reason I am coming to you humbled, shy, and honestly self consciously vulnerable. I am looking to my community for help, and I feel that I'm going against his will. If there were another way I would run in that direction, but this unfortunately is where I am left to turn. Beau has an extremely rare condition which has turned him into a walking ghost.
CRPS is a condition silently effects more than anyone would appreciate until they are forced to. This condition causes crippling pain and has been the source of many suicides. Those who experience this, like Beau, compare it to bee stinging skin that is raw from a fire. It makes the toughest amongst us cry in ways you cannot imagine, I cannot even hold him without bringing more pain to him. There are treatments, but like anything that cannot be mass produced insurance companies will not cover them.
For anyone that suffered chronic back pain who gave a life of addition before chiropractic services were covered; people with CRPS face the same fate. Today Beau is on pain medication that is so strong doctors worry about the health of his internal organs. I'm reaching out, asking for help with getting Beau treatment from the only physician in America that can help; it's not covered, and we cannot afford to pay for it, but more, we cannot afford to lose him.
Whatever you can contribute to this would be more than I can thank you for, it will help our children have their father, and me to have my husband. I cannot explain how much I miss my Beau.
