Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out to share an important update about Beau and to ask for a little help from our amazing community.

After two years of searching for answers and completing every genetic test available here in Manitoba and across Canada, we’ve reached the end of what’s possible through our healthcare system. Despite countless appointments and tests, we still don’t have a clear diagnosis or explanation for Beau’s condition.

Recently, Beau was accepted into a medical trial in Miami for whole genome sequencing, a cutting-edge test that looks at every single piece of DNA. This could finally give us the answers and direction we’ve been hoping for. It’s our best chance yet at understanding what’s going on and finding the right path forward for Beau’s care.

The process requires two trips to Miami. One for the initial assessment and testing, and another for follow-up and results. The total cost is around $15,000, which covers travel, accommodations, and medical-related expenses not funded by our healthcare system. It’s a big undertaking for our family, but we’re determined to make it happen for Beau.
