Our 2 year old cat, Beau, has always been the sweetest and most loving boy, but recently his life has been turned upside down. He was diagnosed with severe stomatitis, a painful condition that’s causing constant inflammation in his mouth that leaves him crying, shaking his head, and trying to run away from the pain he doesn’t understand. Watching him suffer has been heartbreaking for both me and my fiancé. After a referral to the UW animal dentistry clinic, we learned that Beau needs a full mouth extraction to finally get relief. This news came at a time when we’re already stretched thin, planning our wedding and managing all the expenses that come with it. The cost of Beau’s surgery is overwhelming, and we never expected to face something like this on top of everything else. Despite our best efforts, we simply can’t cover this on our own right now. We’re reaching out for help because Beau means the world to us, and we want to give him the chance to live pain-free again.
