Help Beau Beat Cancer x 3

An Update in Amanda's words:
"Beau Dudte passed away at 5am yesterday. I wanted my kids to have one last Christmas with their dad. The hospital let us decorate his room. . The children got to go in his room, one by one and say their goodbyes . We were able to remove the tube and get him off the ventilator, he handled it well. We got to see his eyes one more time. I was by his side the whole night, holding his hand and listening to Alan Jackson."
If you would like to contribute to funeral expenses, please click the "donate" button. Amanda is still needing an updated car, and various expenses paid.
Cancer, end of life, hospital bills upon hospital bills - it all adds up quickly.
Thank you all for loving on this family.

To ease Beau's burden, and the burden his young family is bravely shouldering , his friends and family are sponsoring a benefit and established this gofundme account to raise money to make 12 mortgage payments.
Scott and I first met Beau over two years ago when we purchased a lot in Cinnamon Lake to build a home and needed a dying Ash tree removed. I posted on Next Door, and a guy said he would be over to look over the job.
Enter Beau Dudte, cutting down trees to collect wood to help heat their home.
Meeting Beau that first day, he told me he was recovering from a lengthy cancer diagnosis named "Adult Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia." (click to read Beau's story on the Benefit Blog https://beatingcancer3xwithbeau.blogspot.com/ )
It's a rare cancer and we talked a little about the chemo, the treatments, how long he had been down, how it had affected his life. We talked about how much money cancer costs out of pocket if you have decent insurance and how it can cost you your life if you don't have good insurance.
Beau said he couldn't return to work and wanted something to do to help his family heat their home that winter. He was such a likable and earnest guy, funny, always smiling; even though we agreed on the job, we worried about him being too thin and not recovered enough to do it.
He did finish the job very well.
Not too many months later, we saw on Next Door the horrible news that his cancer had returned. He and I texted back and forth, as I know from my experience that there are just some things you can only talk over with another cancer patient. Cancer patients have a common denominator that can remove inhibitions in conversations others don't have.
Sadly, Beau is now fighting this beast for the third time. To say Beau, his wife, his family, his friends are all a bit "cancer-weary", is a tremendous understatement.
Therefore, a group of folks, some of who have not even met Beau, are rallying around him and helping his wife with a benefit event to raise money for other needs. While our committee is dreaming of raising money to aid our friends and ease their burdens, we also dream for them:
- Donated lawn care for this fall and next spring
- Donated home cleaners to keep germs at bay and give a full time working mom a break.
- A new car. Smile. Over the past four years, countless trips to the Clevenland Clinic have placed untold stress on older vehicles, not to mention the owners. They could seriously use a new(er) vehicle; and/or greatly use donated car mechanical care, oil changes, new tires. Amanda is driving a 2008 van while Beau drives a 2012 truck.
