In the early hours of the morning on August 19th, Beatrice and Suzie had to evacuate from their home in Bonny Doon with their cats and what they could grab. Sadly, on August 21st we learned that their home had been entirely burned down by CZU Lightning Complex wildfire. They lost everything.
To lose your home is absolutely devastating and to have to rebuild your life is hard to comprehend. No one ever plans to have to rebuild their life in retirement. Those of you who know Bibi, know that she absolutely loves to help people. A number of folks have asked how they can help our family after this loss. Life is weird and difficult right now, so if you have the option, consider donating a little to help Beatrice and Suzie get back on their feet as they embark on the long journey to recover from losing their home.
