Sir Walter Baxter Beasley, my beloved yorkie, has always been my little heartbeat—my best friend and the reason I keep going, even on the toughest days. Recently, while we were in Dallas, TX, just hours before our flight home to Los Angeles, Beasley jumped on the bed, missed, and hurt his knee. At first, I hoped it was nothing serious, but after a few hours, I knew something was really wrong. We rushed to Kindness Animal Hospital, where we've been going for almost 20 years, and after an emergency visit and x-rays, it was clear he needed ACL surgery. Our vet has been incredibly kind, providing medication to keep him comfortable until his surgery, but I had to cancel our flight home and I simply don't have the funds to pay for his care. His surgery is scheduled for January 22nd, and the cost is overwhelming. The funds raised will go directly toward Beasley's ACL surgery, his aftercare and rehab once we're back in LA, and special stairs for our apartment so he can safely get around during his recovery. He won't be able to jump for about two months, so these steps are essential for his healing and comfort. Anything you can contribute will help.
