Last week, when I told you about the tragic death of Béa's sister, Zina, many of you asked if there was anything you could do financially to help Zina's three children Carleto (17), Alexandrinah (9) and Rosia (4). They will be cared for in Madagascar by Béa's youngest sister, unless and until we can get them here.

In any event they will certainly need the things kids always need--food, clothing, education and, as Oscar Brown Jr. put it so eloquently, "that big elephant over there." (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8o_8Ek9Hzu0)

The financial strain on their relatives in Madagascar will be considerable. These are difficult times for all of us and if you are unable to give or unable to give much we certainly understand. But we did want to accept the generous offers many of you made in response to the email. We appreciate whatever you are able to do.
