Help Bear Walk Again: Urgent Surgery Needed

This is Bear, he is only a puppy, 7 months old, and a big goofball of energy. Friendly and so innocent. And today I reach out for help with a heavy heart. Our baby needs emergency surgery for two fractures, one on the femur and one spinal, within the week to be able to walk again, after suffering an accident...

Bear escaped from the yard, and was run over by a car, straight on the tire. He always excitedly jumps on the car when we get home, I don’t think he understood the danger of a vehicle.

We rescued him and his brother Wolf off the street when they were 2 months old, and they have been nothing but joy since.

We are desperate. We still live paycheck to paycheck and now have an overwhelming vet bill no one expects or was prepared for. The financial burden is extremely overwhelming.

He was rushed to emergency vet care, crying in pain. Thankfully, he was stabilized, and is still under their care and out of danger. But he has fractured his femur and vertebrae. Bear needs surgery within the week, or he may never be able to walk again. We were told his

situation holds no guarantee of full recovery of movement, but we are holding out for hope.

Our goofy Bear who jumps, plays and runs around constantly. It’s unbearable to think about.

We need at least half the amount to even have the surgery done, and the worry and stress

eat at us from the inside.

We are from Brazil, but in conversion the bill for the surgery will be of around $1000 US

dollars, plus medication and possible complication costs. This is a lot for us here, and we

have no idea how we could be able to afford this. They need a neurosurgeon in order to fix his spine, and it's a very complicated and expensive procedure, compared to others.

I have included the images of his x-rays (the images say 1yr old, because the vets had not asked for his exact age yet), the fractures are circled.
