Bear, my 3-year-old Shih Tzu, has always been a bundle of energy and joy. He loves to play, run around, and bring happiness to everyone he meets. Recently, Bear suffered a serious back injury that resulted in a slipped disc. Now, he can no longer use his back legs and struggles to walk, relying only on his front legs to get around. This injury has also made it difficult for him to use the bathroom, and it breaks my heart to see him in pain and unable to enjoy life as he used to.

After rushing Bear to the vet, x-rays revealed the slipped disc, and he was immediately put on pain and inflammation medication. While this has provided some comfort, Bear’s condition is urgent and requires specialized care from a neurologist. The next steps may include advanced treatments, possible surgery, and ongoing aftercare such as physical therapy. As much as I want to give Bear every chance to recover, the costs are overwhelming, and I am struggling to cover them on my own.

Bear means the world to me, and watching him go through this has been incredibly difficult.
