Help Bear ❤️ Medical Dog Support Needed ❤️

Donation protected

At less than five lbs., this little angel has been a true warrior and has survived so much while spreading cheer and joy to so many!

Now he needs our help and support for his two-in-one medical surgery. I am his Mom, Nassim Nadery, raising funds for my dog/fur baby, Bear.

During the past few years, Bear has battled numerous health issues. It has not been an easy road for Bear, but I am determined to get him healthy and help him to recover. There is nothing that I would not do for this fluffball! He even survived a dog attack from a 70 lb. dog a few years ago and was nearly paralyzed, but made a full recovery!

Bear suffered a leg injury sometime ago and will need double knee surgery (bilateral MPL repair) to help place his kneecaps back into place on the knee groove (kneecaps have completely slid off of the knee groove, see x-rays above), prevent this from reoccurring, and prevent further damage/arthritis/pain to his leg ligaments. I have selected his surgeon- Dr. Cambridge from Veterinary Surgical Specialists- who I trust the most, as he worked on another dog that I had years ago and he is truly the best, well-recommended, and an expert in specialist surgery. He is the only one that I trust! There is a lot of stiffness in Bear's back legs when he walks, so he isn't very comfortable. Since this is a pre-existing condition, pet insurance will not cover any vet/surgery bills. Also, his prostate is enlarged, which can potentially cause cancer and we are hoping that neutering will fix that and cause his hormone levels to change, which can possibly fix his skin problems as well. His vets do not want him to go under anesthesia twice because of the risk to his life, so we have to do both procedures at once and therefore, I cannot get him neutered for cheaper/free elsewhere. Also, several animal foundations that fund dog medical bills will not fund his surgery as they consider this to be an "urgent care" issue, "non-life-threatening," and they also will not help an unneutered dog, and many don't have enough funds to cover this surgery. Bear suffers from Black Skin Disease, aka Alopecia X, which causes his fur to become like cotton, fall out, and his skin to turn black, with no fur growing back over the black areas that cover the truck, sides, legs, belly, chest, neck etc. Many other Pomeranians and dogs battle this disease, and just like them, we have had no luck with western vets fixing the problem. I have been successful on my own however, reversing it using natural supplements as well as a specifically formulated natural line of products designed to fix BSD/Alopecia X that heal his skin with herbs, plants etc. He is improving, his skin is slowly changing and fur is growing back, however it is a long road to recovery with this disease- the products work over a period of months and sometimes take up to a year for a complete and full recovery- so it is a recurring monthly expense. In addition, there were numerous vet visits he had for the aforementioned health issues, as well as vet visits for digestive problems that he has healed from, thankfully. It's very uncomfortable for Bear having to have the lotions on his skin everyday, sitting in a onesie with super, super stinky and sticky herbs 24/7, and itching a lot from the skin healing, but he is handling it like a champ. I also cut all of his fur off recently, except on his head, as all of the dead fur and skin has been flaking off slowly, and it's much easier for the lotions and products to penetrate this way. Fluffy or not, he is still fabulous and the jewel of my heart! He has been the most loyal, compassionate, patient and loving soul who never complains, just toughs it out, despite all of his pain and discomfort...and is my true best friend, I don't know where I would be without him...

I lost my administrative assistant job working at a company in Los Angeles during the pandemic and also lost work as an actress/circus arts performer; like many others, I have struggled because of the impact of covid and this past year battled several injuries and my own health issues the past few months and now that things are a lot better, I have decided to pursue a second degree and want to become a nurse, so I am not able to work full-time right now, as I am going back to school and between the cost of tuition, books, gas/transportation, expenses for nursing, etc. I need help. Since I already have a B.A. I am looking to complete school as quickly as possible and I may not be able to work part-time even, depending on the guidance counselor's placement of my class schedule, but I will do my best to work as an admin. assistant if possible and complete some side acting gigs. I didn't even want to ask anybody for help, but I have noticed that Bear's prostate seems to be enlarging more the past week and I am very worried...I will be using these funds to pay the surgical center directly- 100% of this is for Bear.

I have included the picture above of the surgery cost from his Dr.'s surgery center (that I circled) and it includes his pre/post operative treatments- they usually charge on the higher end and therefore the circled $5114 would cover the full cost. I also included pictures of Bear's x-rays showing his enlarged prostate and double rear knees that need repair.

PLEASE HELP BEAR SO THAT HE CAN RUN AND WALK COMFORTABLY AGAIN AND BE HIS USUAL HAPPY FUR BABY SELF SPREADING LOVE TO EVERYONE!!! ❤️

Thank you,
Nassim Nadery
