Hi,

My name is Alisha, I have a 6 year old dog named Bear. I adopted him when he was 2 years old, he has been my best friend since.

Devastatingly, the greatest fear as a pet parent happened to me on Friday, June 13, 2025, we were attacked by an unleashed pit bull on our morning walk. The dog was at a nearby park where NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED. Unfortunately while on the sidewalk on our routine path, the dog spotted us ran through the park to come and attack Bear. I was quickly able to pick Bear up but that was not enough for that vicious pit bull, it lunged at me, caught Bear’s face in his mouth and held on to his grip.

If I did not pick him up and hold on tight to Bear he would not be with us today.

Due to this attack Bear sustained a severe fracture in his jaw, that left him unable to eat and drink.

We need help so he can undergo surgery to repair his mandible and treatment for his injury.
