Hi everyone,

Our sweet dog Bear, a 2-year-old Border Collie mix, recently faced a sudden and serious medical emergency. He was rushed to the emergency vet after becoming ill at home, and it was discovered that he had suffered acute kidney stress and internal irritation, requiring intensive, around-the-clock care.

Bear has been hospitalized for IV fluids, continuous lab monitoring, and a full regimen of medications to protect his kidneys and gastrointestinal tract. He's been a trooper through it all, staying strong, eating, and even wagging his tail when the vet techs come in.

This emergency came completely out of the blue, and while we’re doing everything we can to give Bear the care he needs, the cost of hospitalization, labs, and medications has quickly added up. His treatment plan includes 48+ hours of IV therapy, bloodwork, GI support, and prescription medications, followed by follow-up testing after he is released.

We’re reaching out to our friends, family, and community for help. Every little bit goes directly toward Bear’s treatment and recovery and means the world to us.

Bear has brought so much love and joy into our lives, and we want to do everything we can to ensure he has many happy years ahead.
