Help Bear Battle Bone Cancer
Donation protected
I wanted to start this late last night after I got off the phone with our vet, but I was too broken to even begin...
My dogs are my life. Everyone that knows me, knows this. Everything I do in my life is for them.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be the one reaching out to ask for help for something like this. I just wanted to continue to be the one to help everyone else. The rescues, the shelter animals, those that have fur babies going through tough times, but unfortunately fate had other plans. To say I am beyond devastated, terrified, and heartbroken with last night's news, is an understatement. I can't stop crying.
I got the dreaded phone call last night and I could tell by the tone in our vet's voice, that it wasn't good news. It was confirmed, our "unicorn shepherd", as many of you who have met her, call her, has bone cancer. Most likely osteosarcoma, and they believe it has spread.
Anyone that has met Bear, knows what a special girl she is. She is kind, patient, sweet, loving, silly, smart, and nurturing. Now she has been dealt a hand that will not be the same to her, and my heart hurts beyond words. I fall to pieces when thinking about what we are up against, but I MUST and WILL do EVERYTHING I can to help my sweet girl. I will do anything to make sure she is given every opportunity to battle this awful diagnosis
I set up this Go Fund Me, after a few people suggested to have the courage to ask for help. We truly need an army behind us for this battle. I am reaching out to ask for the help of animal lovers near and far, those who have been able to meet our Bear, and the many who love her as much as we do. If you could please rally around us during this extremely difficult time, it would mean the world.
A HUGE obstacle in her treatment is cost. Right now we haven't even been able to pay for all of the tests and xrays she has already had, and we have so much more ahead of us. More tests, bloodwork, biopsies, scans, and treatment. So much more we can't afford on our own to give her, but that she so deserves. She is truly the best girl. Selfless and sweet with every breath and kiss she gives to everyone she meets. Always running around with her prized frisbee, (or a few of them), like in this picture, wanting everyone to play with her.
Today and moving forward, I am putting my pride aside and asking you to please join us in our fight for Bear. Any amount you could donate, and even If you can't, just to please share, would mean more to me then you could ever know. Please help us give her every chance possible.
Our promise to you is that we will share her journey every step of the way, so you know where your donation has gone and who you are fighting for. The good, the bad, the ups, the downs, the positive and the ugly. She is an amazing girl who gives so much love and support to all, and now needs our love and support back ten fold.
Thank you so much for your support.
Love,
Lisa, Vic, Koopa, Sierra, Reba, and Bear
