Help Beanie-The Sweetest Stray Dog, Get Life-Saving Surgery
Donation protected
**Update: Beanie did not make it and has crossed the rainbow bridge. The surgeon found no foreign object obstruction, but substantial thickening in her stomach lining. This would continue to be an ongoing battle for her GI system, so the difficult decision to put her down was made along with the vet’s input. Rest easy Beanie **
Hi all:
I’m reaching out with an urgent plea to help the sweetest stray dog I recently rescued, who I've lovingly named Beanie. Beanie is an INCREDIBLY sweet and gentle dog who has had a tough first 9 months of life. When I found Beanie, she was waiting on her porch, waiting for her family to come back for her, despite them having left her behind to fend for herself, 4 days prior. She had to scavenge for her own food for days after her owners left, and this may have caused her to end up where we are today.
Yesterday, I had to rush her to the emergency vet. After X-rays and ultrasound, the vet believes that she has had a partial obstruction in her stomach for the past few weeks and is why she's been thought to have a "sensitive stomach" and now, no appetite. Beanie is currently medicated at the vet and still regurgitating. Without surgery to remove the object, she is not likely to survive.
Despite everything she’s been through, this dog has a loving heart and a lot of life left to live. She’s always eager to greet everyone with a tail wag and her belly. But right now, she needs our help.
The estimated cost of the surgery, along with the necessary follow-up care, is $4,000. I’m doing everything I can to cover her expenses, but the sums are daunting to handle alone and unexpectedly, for an animal that I hadn't budgeted to take care of. I would appreciate any help anyone could provide. You would have my deepest gratitude and if you ever met Beanie, you'd understand why I was asking for help.
Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards her medical care.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing Beanie’s story is equally as helpful.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
