Hi everyone!
While I know there are much more urgent causes in the world right now, we are having a personal emergency of our own. My boyfriend (Jordan) and I, rescued our beautiful dog Bean from Winnie's Rescue in March of 2020. It was right before the pandemic hit and he has quickly become the absolute love of our lives!
He was rescued from the streets of Beirut, Lebanon and unfortunately suffered from a broken hind leg after being hit by a car and left for dead :( The kind people of Winnie's Rescue found him, nursed him back to health and flew him to Canada several months later, where we fostered and then adopted him.
Unfortunately, now at the early age of 3 years old, our snow-loving and hiking partner has developed hip dysplasia. It seems his hind leg didn't heal properly and is causing him a lot of pain. After several consultations with orthopaedic surgeons across the province, we've decided to opt for a total hip replacement, since he is such an active dog with many good years left in him! We are a young couple at the beginning of our careers, so this is definitely a big expense for us (the cost of surgery is a whopping $8000 plus tax). However, we truly believe the surgery to be worth it and hope to restore his quality of life. If you have any change to spare to help our beloved dog Bean, we would be forever grateful!
Love,
Sacha, Jordan and Bean
