Help Bean Bean Get Her Teeth Clean Clean
Donation protected
Hi. If you’re here, you probably know me. But just in case, I’m Elise. And this is Beans.
Beans has been my homie for nearly all of her 13 years, and suddenly came into my exclusive care last October when my former partner was evicted and could no longer care for her. She is a cuddle bug and a box connoisseur. She loves to adventure in the hallway of my building, too. Plus, she’s got the prettiest green dragon eyes and a 10/10 floppy lil fupa.
In my care, Beans has started seeing a vet regularly for the first time. Good news, she’s in good health for her age! Less good news, her teeth need some attention. She is scheduled to have her dental cleaning and probably an extraction or two on July 31st to take care of any oral pain and discomfort, and to prevent bigger issues down the road. This procedure is expensive, even at the lovely vet clinic I’ve chosen for her. You can see the itemized estimate below. The low estimate (with no extractions) is $928.94 and the high estimate is (with one extraction) is $1434.59.
It is also possible, if not likely, that they will need to extract more than one tooth, which will increase the total by hundreds per tooth.
This is a lot of money for most, and I’m no exception. My other kitty is a delicate Victorian child whose various annoying-but-not-life-threatening ailments are monthly expenses. While I could not be happier to be Beans’ home, it is not a financial responsibility I expected to take on.
However, having done my fair share of fundraising in theatre, I know that this is not a very large amount when split between many, and that truly every little bit helps. Anything you are able to kick in is greatly appreciated. I will convert anything raised over what I need for Beans’ dental procedure into a Chewy gift card for her and Smoosh, so you know that your donation will go toward their health and happiness. <3
Thank you so much, from all of us!
