Help Bea Reclaim Her Car and Independence

Hi! I'm Bea!
I'm Brazilian living in Los Angeles, California for the past 8 years. Currently I'm a professional organizer.

Last two years have been rough for me since I experienced unemployment for over 6months and with that many of my bills, debts or duties got past due in the need of survival.

In the morning of 05/27, I was driving on the recently opened PCH to go to a project in Malibu when a Highway Patrol officer who was coming on the OPPOSITE direction turned around, tailgated me and pulled me over.
He told me that he pulled me over due to a HEADLIGHT being off (at 8:30 AM), and my registration being past due. I explained the situation of my unemployment, just recently acquiring a job and being saving for the registration. However he was rude, forceful, proceeded to shame me for not having my documentation in order - including my address not being updated on my Driver's License - and impounded my car.
It's important to note that my car has a sticker that says "Black Lives Matter, Science is Real, Love is Love, No Human is Illegal, Women's Rights are Human's Rights" with a rainbow background and another rainbow sticker that is dog shaped saying "Love All Dog". I was wearing a bandana that was the bisexual flag.
His ton, approach and consequences did feel that was more than just him upholding the law, but a very profiled action based on my race and sexuality. We were in an emergency area, were I was driving at 25MPH - which was the speeding limit - and all the houses around us had burned down to the concrete foundation.
Also to think he came to pull me over for a headlight, during the day feels very malicious intent to me.

Truth to the matter is, I'm barely scraping by as it is and i need my car. With ICE everywhere kidnapping people just because of their skin color and not asking to see their documentation, I can't risk using public transportation like I was, because I personally saw them at the Metro Stations.

This is the breakdown as of today 06/12 of how much my "Debt" to the pigs *cough cough* I mean, the police, is:

I can't afford that and each day that passes the debt gets bigger by $66.

Any amount that you can donate toward this helps me get this solved and I'll eternally be grateful.

I'm also pledging to donate 15% of what I make - For ever dollar I make I'm donating 15 cents - to the Jail Support LA Bail Fund (@jailsupportLA) who's helping the people on the frontlines of the protests helping in LA.

Thank you so much for all that donate and if you can't, that's okay, share it with friends, i'm grateful either way.

Help Vader have her car rides back!
