I adopted Beatrix (FKA Chu Chu) from the Shabby Tabby in February 2024. I fell in love with her as soon as we met for the first time. She is one of the friendliest cats I've had and is really just such a love. Bea was rescued from a pretty bad situation—a hoarder house with 50 or 60 other cats. She and all of her brothers and sisters were born with eye issues, but Bea was the only one in her litter who was completely blind. While she is incredibly resilient, her immunity was compromised from birth, so she has had a rough 2 years with different illnesses and infections. She developed an ear infection many months ago, which has consisted of multiple vet visits weekly, countless medications, etc. Nothing has been effective, and I feel awful because I know she is in a lot of discomfort. It was recently discovered that she has a growth deep in her ear canal, which has been the cause of this relentless infection. After several less invasive attempts have been made with no progress, Bea is now in need of surgery to remove her ear canal. While thousands of dollars have already been spent in trying to help her, this procedure is going to be even more. We would be eternally grateful for any amount of assistance anyone can provide for this sweet babe to finally feel some relief.
