April 30th Missy left her current job in Florida to go to Bar Harbor, Maine to work for six months for the summer. After 6 months it was in her plan to go back to work in Florida. After the passing of her aunt and a very dear friend she chose it was best to go home. On the way home from Maine She started feeling bad the last day of driving and and came home with tonsillitis and 103° fever. Went back to work for a few days and then decided to go out to dinner with her Mom, her Son Hunter and her next-door neighbor. While she was at dinner she passed out twice and they called an ambulance. She doesn't remember much of what happened, they took her to the hospital and did a CAT scan. The scan found a Meningioma Brain Tumor on the right side base of her skull. She was admitted and had an MRI. After the MRI, she met with a couple of Neurosurgery Physician Assistant’s, and they advised her that she would be going to the University of Miami or the University of Florida to be evaluated in for surgery. They have advised her it will be a very High Risk Surgery after she finds her Specialist. After much stress, she found out she would not be sent there until her insurance was reinstated. We are hoping at this time they will reinstate it. After spending 3 nights in the hospital in Cape Coral and multiple tests they have sent her home until her insurance is reinstated. They have told her when the insurance is reinstated she is to go to the hospital ER in Miami and at that time they would evaluate her. Unfortunately, at this time, she is unable to work and has bills and a home to take care of. Missy is a driven Mom of 3 boys who loves life and always lives it to the fullest never having the smile leave her face. This unfortunate diagnosis is just unbelievable to her and her family. Any help for her would be so much appreciated by her. This is going to be a long road for her
