In July 2026, St Mary’s University Men’s Futsal 1st Team has earned the chance to compete at a major European university tournament in Italy.

This is already a huge achievement — but what makes it truly special is this:

We have qualified in back-to-back years, something no team in St Mary’s University history has ever done.

Last year, we arrived as underdogs.

We left as the highest-placed GB university team in the entire tournament, proving that we belong on the European stage.

Despite representing St Mary’s University internationally, we receive no financial support from the university.

Every cost — flights, accommodation, tournament fees, transport, and equipment — must be fully covered by the players.

We wear the badge.

We represent the name.

Yet we must fund the journey ourselves.
