**Update**
I have made it to California to start my new treatments. I am on week two of them and I am doing well. I have been able to start eating again and have stopped vomiting. These treatments include 3 therapies on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 2 therapies on Tuesday and Thursday and about 9 supplements twice daily. I will also be starting a low dosage chemotherapy next week. With that said, I am paying out of pocket for all of these different treatments, approximately $550 daily (not including chemo). I am asking for any and all help that can be given along with continual prayers. Just sitting in the facility doing my treatments, I have heard of so many success stories from this facility so I am confident that I will get healed here. I just need a little more help with the finances.
In March of 2019, I was diagnosed with a sublingual gland cancer with carcinoma. After the diagnoses, I had a massive surgery removing my sublingual gland and 20 lymph nodes following with 6 weeks of intense concurrent chemo and radiation. I finished my last treatment on June 20, 2019. I had a pet scan done in September of 2019, all was clear.
Fast forward to July of 2020, I started having lower back pains (thought it was from working out) so I went to get it checked out. They did an MRI and surprising news that it’s metastasis, which is the spread of cancer cells to new parts of your body, found in my lower spine and nodules in my lungs. This is defined as a terminal cancer. Although, we are believing for otherwise! Following this second diagnosis, I went to two different doctors and the outcome was to have 4-5 treatments of chemo (Carboplatin and Taxol). I have had 8 treatments with not much luck of the chemo working as we hoped. With this type of rare cancer, they have very minimal treatment options for me.
As of February 2021, I have been SEARCHING for another opinion or another doctor who can get this under control. I am currently traveling to Philadelphia and Pittsburgh multiple times a month. They were able to get ONE trial for me. I am in the midst of doing testing to see if I am eligible for this trial. I have also talked to doctors in New York and California. That said, if I am not an eligible candidate for this trial, my only other option is going to a doctor in California, whom I really, really loved. Unfortunately, they do not take most insurances due to them using organic regimens such as vitamin C IV’s and a mistletoe treatment rather than the conventional drugs. (too often conventional drugs fail us) This means everything will have to come out of pocket.
I am chasing a miracle in California and pray to yield amazing results with shrinking the tumors and becoming cancer free. So, I am calling on you to help me reach my goal so I can receive the best treatments to help heal my body. This GoFundMe will be used for caring for my family, treatments, out of pocket expenses, traveling, hotel expenses, gas, etc. It truly pains me to ask for help, but as God provided for Elijah during a drought leading to a famine, and like many other stories, He will provide in every situation. What I’ve experienced in what many would call “dark times” are His caring, compassionate love, and timely intervention at my breaking point. I believe in my story. I believe it is far from over and with God’s timing, I will be able to help someone else through their struggles someday.
