Our beloved BD has been detained by ICE for over six months, far from his home, his community, and the life he has built here in the United States. He cannot go back to his home country, returning would mean risking his life. The threats he faces there are real and grave. If he returns to his home country him and his wife could face death and lifelong imprisonment.

BD has always been a devoted husband, a hard worker, and the sole breadwinner for his family. But his wife and his 16 month old son

is left alone, scared, and fighting desperately to keep their family intact. Without BD here, she faces unimaginable emotional, financial, and legal challenges, all while struggling with the fear of permanent separation. His wife and baby are financially DESTITUTE!

To make matters even more heartbreaking, ICE confiscated all of their identification documents, so BD’s family has not even been able to see him during this entire detention. Imagine six months without a hug, without physically seeing your family, or reassurance that he is safe. The emotional toll is indescribable. His wife is completely traumatized and barely hanging on mentally and emotionally. Their baby is also seriously traumatized and has PTSD and severe separation anxiety. They both are drowning in depression and hopelessness. And to make matters worse they face threats from their own countrymen here in the United States.

Right now, BD needs an appeal and he needs it urgently. The legal process is complex, and the cost of retaining experienced immigration attorneys, filing appeals, gathering evidence, and preparing his case is overwhelming. Without your support, BD’s chance to fight for his life and freedom slips further away every day.
