Many of you know her as the “please and thank you” lady at the Harvey McDonalds. For those of you who don’t know her, this is Marie. Marie has rescued and provided a home for 36 dogs in her lifetime and she currently has two! Juno and Baymax. This is Marie’s dog Baymax! He has torn his ACL and he needs to have surgery. We recently found out that Baymax needs to have both of his back legs repaired by a local veterinarian, to live a long and healthy life with Marie. Marie has worked at McDonald’s in Harvey for almost 3 years, as many of you probably know from seeing her at our first window! Your kids probably know her as the “duck lady” she likes to say, as she does her Donald Duck impression for them to make them laugh! Before Mcdonald’s, you may have seen her in the checkout line at Walmart, where she worked for 14 years. She has more of an impact on our community than she may realize.

Marie puts a smile on everyone’s faces as they come through, even to grab a quick coffee on their way to work! She has helped us all so much over the last few years, especially here at our store in Harvey, and we would like to return the favor. We are asking for donations for Maire to help pay for Baymax’s surgeries. She loves and cares so deeply for her animals and since we care so deeply for her, we would love to be able to help.
