This is Baylor, she’s a 10 month old German Shepherd!

She has always been the happiest, most energetic girl, bouncing off the walls, chasing her ball, and giving love to everyone.

Earlier this week, her trainer noticed she wasn’t herself. She stopped eating, wouldn’t play, and her energy was gone. That’s when I knew something was very wrong.

On Tuesday night, I rushed her to the emergency vet. After extensive testing, she needed two emergency blood transfusions. The next day, she was transferred to a critical care specialist in Brandon, where she’s been in the ICU for several days.

Doctors have confirmed Baylor has a severe case of pneumonia. She’s receiving 24/7 IV antibiotics, fluids, and constant monitoring, and will need to remain in critical care for several more days.

The cost of emergency treatment, transfusions, and ICU care is extensive. Baylor is my world, and I’m doing everything possible to help her get back to her crazy self and come home.
