My daughter Bayley was wrongfully arrested last night based on a false accusation of stalking made by her abusive ex-husband—the same man who had no charges and no arrest after throwing my daughter to the ground. At the time of the arrest he was actively hiding her daughter from her at the time of the accusation. Instead of helping locate the child and protect a mother’s parental rights, the system acted on an unverified statement. Bayley was arrested without fair consideration of the full facts, leaving her traumatized, humiliated, separated from her child, and now at risk of losing her job.

This false arrest for “stalking” is not only unjust—it has turned Bayley into a victim twice: first, by being denied access to her own child, and second, by being criminalized for trying to protect and reunite with her daughter. We are now facing overwhelming legal expenses to hire an experienced attorney, clear her name, fight these false allegations, navigate family court to ensure her daughter’s safety and rightful reunification, and cover lost wages, bond, and related court costs.

Bayley is a loving, devoted mother who has never posed a threat to anyone. She has simply been trying to do what any parent would do—find and protect her child.
