Bayla is raising money for the Jewish Heritage Program at the World Monuments Fund. This is part of her Bat Mitzvah project. She was moved to launch this fundraiser after studying the history of Pitigliano, a unique town in Tuscany that was home to Jews for centuries (it is featured in the picture on this page). According to WMF, "hundreds of Jewish cultural sites around the world are threatened by conflict, abandonment, inadequate protection, and lack of resources." Its Jewish Heritage Program works to preserve those sites. The program has worked to restore 60 sites in 28 different countries since it launched in 1988.
It is a great mission, and Bayla is proud to be supporting it. You can find more information about the Jewish Heritage Program here: https://www.wmf.org/jewish-heritage-program
Donations are tax deductible. WMF has assured us all funds raised by Bayla will be allocated specifically for Jewish Heritage preservation.
Thanks for your support!
