Hi everyone,

We're reaching out to our wonderful community to share a bit about Batsheva’s journey and ask for your support in helping her access the education she truly needs.

Within the past year, we've come to understand that Batsheva is twice-exceptional (2E), meaning she is both gifted and neurodivergent. While she has real gifts in areas like singing, reading and creativity, she also has ADHD, dyscalculia (a math-based learning disability), and other learning differences that make traditional schooling extremely challenging for her. In twice-exceptional students, giftedness and disability often mask each other—either the disability hides the gift, or the gift hides the disability. As a result, her struggles went largely unnoticed and misunderstood, and she wasn’t getting the support she truly needed.

Over time, it became increasingly clear that Batsheva—who is naturally bright, curious, and bubbly—was unable to keep up in her educational environment. She simply cannot learn in the ways most schools are set up to teach. Despite efforts from her previous schools, their limited resources meant she continued to struggle—academically, socially, and emotionally.

We’ve now enrolled her in New Horizons, an incredible school designed specifically for neurodivergent learners like Batsheva—where her unique strengths and challenges will finally be understood and supported. The upfront registration and technology fees are $1,050, and her monthly tuition is about $600. Even with multiple scholarships applied, we are still struggling to make this dream possible.

**Urgently, she is supposed to start school this week—but right now, we have no way to cover the upfront fees required for her to attend.** We’re aiming to raise enough to help cover these costs and give Batsheva the opportunity to truly thrive in an environment that finally fits her needs.

As her parents, we are fully committed to supporting Batsheva—but the financial burden is significant. Our family has been navigating serious financial challenges, including a recent bankruptcy, which has made it impossible to cover these educational costs on our own. We also have two other children with significant special needs, which take up much of our time and resources.

There are only a few days left to raise these funds before school starts. We’re hoping to meet this goal in time so Batsheva doesn’t miss the start of the year!

We are humbled and deeply grateful for any support from our community—it will make a real and direct difference in helping Batsheva access the education she needs and deserves, as she grows into the beautiful young woman we all know and love.
