My name is Bats and I am a waitress, content creator and writer.
In August this year I got rushed to the ER with debilitating abdominal pain. A dose of morphine, an ultrasound and hours of watching pawn stars on the hospital tv later, I was informed that I have gallstones.
The ER team sent me home with a “you probably passed a stone” and a “you should get your gallbladder removed,” followed by a $2900 bill for my trouble.
My surgery is in the coming week and I have barely made a dent in the money I already owe.
We have tried to get the costs down by contacting the hospital and going through the usual steps, but we have unfortunately had no luck.
To top it off, my car is seemingly on its last legs and I don’t have the funds for a down payment due to the aforementioned medical debt.
I hate asking for help but this debt has become a little out of my control as I am now going to be out of work for two weeks recovering from the surgery.
So I am here now asking for a little help, to cover my medical debts and a down payment on a car.
$2000 will go towards a car as a down payment
$3000 will go towards the outstanding medical debt
